Who we are

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

-Psalm 139:13-14a

Richland Creek's Special Needs Ministry exists to love and serve Jesus Christ by facilitating children with special needs and their families to become full participants and contributors in the body of Christ.

We believe that everyone deserves an equal opportunity to worship, learn, and serve in our church, regardless of their abilities. We regard special needs as different abilities rather than disabilities, and we provide a Christ-centered environment with a person-centered emphasis to help individuals and families flourish in their unique abilities, as well as their collective spiritual growth. We seek to transform lives through heart-to-heart relationships and a foundation of trust that will extend to trusting others and trusting in Christ. We remain flexible and understanding that often times to the only constant is "consistent inconsistency."

  • To intentionally and systematically share the Good News of Jesus Christ with children who have special needs and help them grow in their faith
  • To integrate children with special needs and their families into the life of the church body
  • To welcome, support, and include the families of those with members who have special needs into the fellowship of Richland Creek Community Church
  • To reach out to the community and provide a safe and loving environment where children with special needs can worship God and learn about Jesus Christ
  • To nurture each child's individual skills and abilities while learning about the Christian faith
  • To provide an opportunity for children with special needs to learn about God's love in a way that is accessible to them
