Disciples Equipping Disciples (Wed PM)

At the Creek, we believe the disciple-making process is inherently intentional and relational - or, to put it another way, life-on-life. Men Equipping Men and Women Equipping Women are weekly classes for men and women of all ages who wish to grow and mature in their faith.  These classes meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:45 pm.

In their respective classes, men and women are taught fundamental disciplines of spiritual growth and disciple making. We will focus on six disciplines that every Christian should be engaged in if they are truly submitted to the lordship of Jesus Christ along with additional subjects that are vital to our Christian growth. Typical class topics are outlined below:

  • Bible Study
  • Prayer
  • Service
  • Worship
  • Evangelism
  • Giving
  • Family Devotions
  • Godly Living in the Midst of Difficult Circumstances
  • Identifying and Dealing with Sin
  • Forgiving Others as Christ Forgave Us

We will begin each class with corporate teaching learning why God commands us to obey Him in these areas and how to do them. Teaching time will be followed by breaking into groups with leaders who will serve to encourage and hold participants accountable for spiritual growth. This is a class that comes with a high degree of accountability.  Participation in obeying the commands of Scripture for Bible study, prayer, worship, service, evangelism, and giving are expected.  This class is offered both in Spring and Fall semesters.

Disciples are made through this class as participants partner together to engage in committed accountability for the purpose of spiritual growth.   This growth is born out of a longing to offer back to God what He so sacrificially gave to us – love.  Increasing love for God should produce a growing desire for both personal growth and raising up other disciples.

Come join us in becoming disciples who seek to make disciples.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”  Matthew 28:19
