Class Information - WEW II

The Women Equipping Women classes (I and II) are designed to function as stepping-stones that gradually increase participant’s responsibility in their spiritual learning and accountability.

WEW I is a weekly class for women of all ages who wish to grow and mature in their faith.  It is here that women are taught what a disciple of Christ is and how to make disciples on her own. This class meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30 - 7:45PM and Sunday nights from 6:00 - 7:30PM.

If you have completed WEW I and desire to further grow and mature in your faith, WEW II may be for you.

WEW II serves to assist in the growth and development of disciples as we learn more about our faith and hold ourselves to an even higher degree of accountability.  WEW II builds on the foundation of WEW I. Therefore, all that is expected in WEW I is also expected in WEW II. Additionally, WEW II members will begin reading a basic Bible doctrine book, memorize verses at a faster pace and yield themselves to a deeper level of accountability in the areas of pride, roles, idols, money, marriage, purity, relationships, and integrity.

Class time is spent discussing the reading from the Bible doctrine book as well as walking through the biblical narrative from Genesis to Esther, the intertestamental period and the Gospels. Accountability takes place outside class with assigned partners from the WEW III class.  This way class time can be used for teaching, discussion and even hands on learning with the disciplines.
Our goal is to strengthen the disciple you are becoming as we partner together to engage in committed accountability and learning.  The Apostle Paul prayed for his fellow brothers and sisters in Colossians, “And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,  so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.”  Colossians 1:9-10.  It is our hope and prayer as well that you would grow in the knowledge of God so that you too can make strong disciples.

We fully admit that the disciplines and work of spiritual growth are born out of a love for Jesus in response to what He has done for us at the cross.  None of the work and time spent here is compulsory. Just the opposite, our deeds of discipline and spiritual growth are offered up as worship.

This class comes with a high degree of accountability. Obedience to the commands of scripture (bible study, prayer, service, worship, evangelism, and giving) is required to enter the class.  Compliance to the subsequent responsibilities discussed above is required to remain in the class.

WEW II also takes place on Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:45.
