LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT CHURCH?
According to the Bible, an important measure of a church is how it handles the Word of God. Only God knows exactly what you truly need, and His method of providing it is via the clear teaching of His Word. Here at Richland Creek, the entire staff, elders, and deacons are excited to exalt the authority and priority of God’s Word.
WHY BECOME A MEMBER?
First, membership identifies us as a follower of Christ. We come together with other believers as the Body of Christ. Many members, but one body (Ephesians 2:19, Romans 12:5).
Second, membership provides a spiritual family and moves us away from isolation. It provides accountability and a nurturing environment to grow. We encourage one another daily to keep us from backsliding and to become snared by sin’s deceitfulness (Galatians 6:1-2; Ephesians 5:21).
Third, membership gives us a place to discover and use our spiritual gifts in ministry. It helps us develop and strengthen our faith where God can use us to build His church (1 Cor. 12:4-27).
Fourth, as members of Christ’s body, we are His hands, His feet, His eyes, His heart. It is an incredible privilege to share in His ministry and be God’s instruments on earth (Hebrews 13:17; 20:28-29).
Fifth, God desires you to be an active part of a local church. “Let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, let us not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, as some are in the habit of doing, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching” (Hebrews 10:24-25).
MOVING TOWARD MEMBERSHIP
We are still welcoming people to pursue membership during the pandemic. Instead of an on-campus class, we have a series of membership videos we require folks to watch and understand as a part of the process. One of our pastors or staff members will be walking member candidates through this process.
To begin the process of pursuing membership or ask more questions, call the church office at 919-556-9292 or contact membership coordinator Jase Brown at .
