Upcoming Opportunity to Serve

We are reaching out to invite you to be a part of our upcoming disaster relief trip to Western North Carolina, scheduled for April 2-5. This trip will focus on vital repair and rebuilding efforts in response to the recent disasters that have impacted the region.

 

Our partner, Baptists on Mission, has started a new phase called Essential Rapid Repair (ERR). The tasks will primarily involve hands-on repairs, rebuilding damaged structures, and assisting with various aspects of recovery work. 

 

Trip Details:


•  Dates: Wednesday, April 2 – Saturday, April 5, 2025
•  Location: Western North Carolina (Swannanoa First Baptist Church)
•  Focus: Repair and rebuild efforts in response to recent disasters
•  Cost: Beyond travel gas and meals, out-of-pocket expenses should be minimal, with lodging and meals provided by the NC Disaster Relief Site. 

 

The deadline to register for this trip is Sunday, March 23. You must be at least 18 years old to sign up.

•  If applicable, any disaster relief training from Baptist on Mission. 

 

*Once we have confirmed your commitment, you will receive paperwork you will need to fill out from Baptist on Mission. We will also attach a schedule for the trip.

Richland Creek partners with Baptists on Mission in disaster relief efforts both locally and nationally. We seek to relieve human suffering caused by disasters by providing among other things: hot meals, debris removal, child care, and family assistance.
