Equipping opportunities for adults at Richland Creek are designed to help every member and attender grow in their understanding of the Word of God and their key skills for applying it. Subjects range from in-depth Bible book studies to key theological topics and also include biblical wisdom for living life well, such as handling finances or navigating marriage and parenting.
These equipping opportunities most often come in the form of weekend intensives or conferences, though they could also look like weekday or weeknight classes. Childcare is offered when possible, but not always; please look at the description of each opportunity for more info. We also try to make these opportunities as accessible as possible, so most opporunities involve minimal cost or are free.
Prayer is a priceless privilege. Yet, instead of “praying at all times in the Spirit” (Ephesians 6:18), we often neglect our relationship with God—setting aside the power and the grace He intended to strengthen us. So, how can we awaken our prayer lives? Nothing will encourage (or challenge) us more than studying prayers from the Bible. This spring, we will learn from those who came before us as we walk together through prayers of repentance, praise, intercession, thanksgiving, and supplication. It will be a sweet time of growth in the study of God's Word and the discipline of prayer and an opportunity to reflect on the depth of human dependence upon God.
Christians believe the greatest news in the world: God saves lost sinners through His only Son, Jesus Christ, and this salvation is available to all who believe. But we live in a world often opposed to this wonderful news. How do we share life-saving truth with others, many of whom don’t even realize how desperate they are? This equipping intensive will walk us through the Gospel story, how to know our own salvation testimony, and how to joyfully share the gospel with others. In addition to great teaching, we’ll also have games and activities to have some fun and encourage us in our faith.
This intensive is for all believers, both mature and new to the faith. We’ll meet in the Fellowship Hall. The cost is $10, which includes lunch and snacks. Creek Students are also doing an intensive at the same time; to register your student for that intensive, go to richlandcreek.com/students.
New to the Christian faith? New to Richland Creek? Desiring to grow in your relationship with Christ, but not sure what steps to take? If you answer “yes” to any of these, this 8-week class is designed specifically for you. Together we will learn key building blocks to strengthen your knowledge, belief, and practice as you follow Christ.
