MEMBERSHIP AFFIRMATION
1. Why are we doing a membership affirmation initiative?
We recognize that there has been a lot of change at Richland Creek since 2022 when we rewrote our current church membership covenant. We want to ensure that all of our church members are on the same page about how we desire to help them follow Jesus and serve Him faithfully. We want to be clear about what healthy church membership looks like and how they play a crucial part in Richland Creek being a healthy church.
2. Who is being asked to participate?
All current members who joined before April 2022 (which totals to around 765 current active members). If you became a member of Richland Creek after April 1, 2022 then this affirmation class is not something you need to participate in. If you are not yet a member of Richland Creek, you should sign up for our 4-week Discover class.
3. What information will be covered?
Current members who joined before April 2022 are asked to attend a 1-hour, 15-minute class to hear our membership affirmation material. This class will discuss our church covenant, how your pastors desire to care for you as a church member, and how you can help us be a healthy church with a clear vision of who we are and what we value.
4. When will the affirmation classes be offered?
Our schedule for the class will be on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am in the Fellowship Hall throughout the year. We may add additional dates on other days/times as needed.

5. What are participants being asked to do?
Members who joined before April 2022 are being asked to attend (1) of the class dates above and sign our current church covenant after completing the class as an affirmation of their church membership.
